Guérande and the Parc de la Brière

You're probably familiar with the famous Guérande salt. Take a tour of the salt marshes and discover the secrets of how this quality salt is made, thanks to the salt workers. You can round off your visit with a visit to the museum next door. Also worth a visit: the charming historic town of Guérande, its heritage, its medieval city... and much more besides.

Climb aboard a barge (a black, tapering flat-bottomed boat steered by a pole) and discover the Brière Regional Nature Park. Here you'll find a wide variety of flora and fauna, as well as wet meadows stretching as far as the eye can see. You'll also see traditional thatched cottages. It's the perfect way to spend a day away from it all, in the peace and quiet of nature and with the breathtaking scenery of the Parc de la Brière.

You can visit the port of Saint-Nazaire, the town's raison d'être. You'll discover the history of this port and its importance to the town.

Don't miss these two not-to-be-missed visits on the Côte de Jade.
